ZimSculpt, a world renowned exhibition of modern Zimbabwean stone sculptures, features over 200 sculptures on display at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. This is the largest collection ever assembled for a show in the U.S. Known as Shona sculpture, these contemporary pieces can be as large as seven feet tall and are hand carved from stone, as hard as granite, and often weigh tons. In addition, two Zimbabwe sculptors will accompany the show and demonstrate their artistry in the Pecan Grove Market Place, and offer hands-on classes to guests. Their work will be available to purchase along with other items from other sculptors.
