“GET READY SAN ANTONIO, THE RAT PACK ARE BACK IN TOWN!” “The intimate bar setting is perfect for Roxie’s January offering, The Rat Pack Lounge, a show that features the real-life “Rat Pack” members – Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr.”–Jasmina Wellinghoff, from San Antonio's “ON THE TOWN MAGAZINE”                                                                            THE RAT PACK Is BACK! The Roxie Theatre Company of San Antonio will present the hit musical, Pennington’s THE RAT PACK LOUNGE, January 14 through February 5 at the Roxie Theatre. The production is one of the Roxie’s wildly successful shows of the season. With direction/choreography by Jonathan Pennington, the show will be an interactive, live musical experience of the Rat Pack’s music of the Era.   "THE RAT PACK LOUNGE audiences can expect to find all the songs they love and more,” said Jonathan Pennington. This reincarnation of THE RAT PACK takes place in a lounge off of the Las Vegas Strip. The characters and songs you love remain the same-pure, original musical feel. Songs Include:  Young At Heart,  Come Fly With Me, I'm Gonna Live ’Til I Die, My Way, Ain't That A Kick In The Head,  High Hopes, Volare, Nice 'n' Easy, Bye Bye Black Bird, You Make Me Feel So Young, It's A Wonderful World, Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime, What Kind Of Fool Am I,  I've Got You Under My Skin, I've Got The World On A String, Birth of the Blues, and more. Regional favorites will take on the roles of the RAT PACK.  Award winning actor Ryan Guerra seen at the Cameo Theatre stage last winter as Buddy in The Buddy Holly Story will take on the role of Frank Sinatra. Starring as the comedic Dean Martin and Sammy David Jr. will be Sean Salazar (Award Winning best actor from Disney’s Marry Poppins/Rock of Ages) and Dwight D Robinson (from the Award Winning Rock of Ages). Lauren Mitchell will portray Angie Dickinson with Chad Collins as the title character Vic a.k.a Joey Bishop.  Other cast members include a heavenly live band: Luvine Elias Jr. on piano, Aaron Walker on drums, and Joseph Segovia on stand-up bass.  These musicians are the Rat Pack Lounge’s fabulous live band at San Antonio’s Roxie Theatre. Writers James Hindman and Ray Roderick borrow liberally from such classics as the beloved film "It's a Wonderful Life" and the off-Broadway musical "Forever Plaid," about a group of 1950s musicians killed before their time who return to Earth. The one-of-a-kind set is being designed by Roxie Theatre Company’s Artistic Director Jonathan Pennington.  Pennington won Globe Award for a 2016 production of the 80’s hit musical ROCK of AGES, the same year he won best production of a musical for Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story for Outstanding Direction/Production form the People’s Choice Awards. Pennington’s THE RAT PACK LOUNGE cast will be under the musical direction of Tom Masinter, costume design by Amy Kelleher and sound design by Pete Lawford. The production is sponsored by Younique-Physique Fitness by Sonya Pennington Roemisch. The show begins at 8pm Fridays, 7:30pm Saturdays, and 3:30pm Sundays. There will also be V.I.P. Cocktail Table Seats right up front for an addition fee. Regular Admission Tickets are just $25—$30 and are now on sale.
