June 20th marks World Refugee Day, as designated by the UN and we, the World University Service of Canada-University of Winnipeg Committee, invite you to our benefit concert.It will be an evening of contemplation and celebration.In contemplation of the refugee lives lost and the struggles refugees continue to face.In celebration of the resilience of the refugee communities and the work being done to help people through the refugee crisis.All proceeds will go to our Student Refugee Program, which sponsors refugee students to come to Canada to pursue higher education. More information on the program can be found here:http://wusc.ca/en/srp Gast Station Theatre is an accessible space, though doors are automatic. We will have our team ready to open and help in any way needed. Please feel free to contact us for any accessibility concerns. Performers include:Ali FontaineTionne ShellAcoustic Feel..and more to be announced.Tickets are 15 dollars per person, though if finance is a concern, please don't hesitate to contact us and we'll arrange for you to come an enjoy the evening with us. Donations beyond 15 dollars are much appreciated and welcome.Cheques can be made out to the University of Winnipeg.
