drink my coffee black
its essence unadulterated
but i can’t
it must have additives
a tot of milk
some variable amount of raw sugar
stirred with a delicate spoon
silver of course
this need for something more
enhancement/dilution
is pretty much
the way i live my life
a tot of that fool’s gold
optimism
some variable amount of imagination
stirred with an index finger
inky of course
life unadulterated is black coffee
much too strong for me to swallow
