Edmonton Symphony Orchestra performs a Tribute to The Music of Prince
The Winspear with its amazing acoustics will be lit up in shades of purple. In fact this is the show to wear purple and celebrate the iconic music of Prince properly.
Even if you were lucky enough to be at Prince's concert in 2011 you haven't heard him like this–with the might of a full symphony orchestra. Featuring members of His Royal Badness' own band, The New Power Generation. LA-based lead vocalist Mackenzie Green was specifically chosen for this production because he has the look, the voice, and the style of Prince.
Backed by the ESO and a full rock band, guest conductor Raymond Baril brings you all the hits from Purple Rain to Little Red Corvette. Performed like never before this world premiere symphonic tribute honours the legend, the icon, the megastar…Prince!
