The Alliance turns into a Parisian salon for one night only! Mathematician, philosopher, gambler and Voltaire's lover… Emilie, Marquise Du Châtelet, (1706-49) was everything society didn’t expect from well-born women in 18th century France. "La Divine Emilie" held a salon she called "mon academie" at the Chateau de Cirey, attended by the European thinkers and scientist. A woman of spirit, intellect, and energy she was one of the great minds of her time. With us to celebrate one of the brightest light of le siècle des lumières: philosopher Irina Ruvinsky, cellist Titilayo Ayangade, and actress Melisha Mitchell.
