Hush

Mary Mills is a curious linguist. While she has taught English, French, German, Spanish and ESL, her main area is German. Her poetry has appeared online and in print. Pacific Coast Philology has published her English translation of German poetry, written by inmates of Auschwitz. During one of her many trips to Germany, she visited a lake in Elmshorn and took a picture of a metal sculpture, suspended over the lake. Later, she wrote a poem, depicting the interplay of nature and the metal sculpture as seen in the photo.
