Trigger Warning
A hundred years of work and play—
along the way,
I’ve seen and heard
a few absurd
events and words that curled my toes
and brought me woes.
But I have had
more good than bad.
Though I’ve known illness, now my health
seems like great wealth.
I still can walk,
see, hear, and talk.
To family and friends I say,
“Along your way,
may you be blessed
to taste life’s zest.”
