Bio

John Sieber is an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in English, Spanish, and creative writing with a minor in classics studies at Purdue University. He writes poetry and short stories, and he loves reading, having dinners with friends, and daydreaming. The latter might be his favorite, or at least, the one he partakes in most often.

Trigger Warning

From the branch
my neck was strung,
a nest, a finch had built.

By clouds of grey
A grin decays,
but a cheep – to take my guilt.

Oh, an eager end,
but with bird’s descend–
the rapture comes undone.

For furthermore,
or forevermore,
a war has yet begun.
