Bio
Dr. Rishikesh Upadhyay is Indian born, grew up and lives in Bhanjang Basti, Haflong, a small Nepalis’ hamlet in the district headquarter of Dima Hasao (formerly North Cachar Hills), in the Indian states of Assam. He holds a PhD, MPhil and an MSc from Assam University Silchar and a BSc Hons from Haflong Government College. He is currently a Professor (assistant) at Assam University affiliated Haflong Government College, India.

Those holding power shape the rule,
To serve themselves and others fool.
They make injustice seem so right,
And hide the truth from public sight.
Still truth will rise, though slow its pace,
No falsehood wins in every case.
The deprived may suffer for a while,
But justice walks the extra mile.
Though storms may test the brave and true,
Their faith remains to carry through.
With patient hearts they stand upright,
Believing dawn will follow night.
When truth and justice lead the way,
An honest man will win one day.
His courage lights the hearts of all,
Till peace returns to one and all.
