Duane Anderson currently lives in La Vista, NE. He has had poems published in Fine Lines, Cholla Needles, and several other publications. He is the author of ‘On the Corner of Walk and Don’t Walk,’ ‘Conquer the Mountains,’ ‘Family Portraits,’ and ‘The Life of an Ordinary Man.’

What is life,
a trip in a spaceship,
traveling through time?
I do not always know where I will be.
See me here,
see me there.
See me at a movie,
see me at a restaurant,
see me at a funeral.
I am here,
I am there,
never long at one spot.
This is life,
wondering around the world,
taking one day at a time.
Do not blink,
I am here, and then I am gone,
life moving quickly.
