Of Indian origin, Sultana Raza’s poems have appeared in numerous journals/anthologies, including Columbia Journal, The New Verse News, Entropy, London Grip, Blaze Vox etc. Her fiction received an Honorable Mention in Glimmer Train Review, and is in the Achilles Anthology by Flame Tree Publishing. Her creative non-fiction has appeared in Literary Ladies Guide, Literary Yard, and Litro. An independent scholar, she has presented papers on Romanticism (Keats) and Fantasy (Tolkien) in international conferences.

Their
early
days seemed to be
like living in a wonderland;
full of treats in hidden cafes, surprise gifts of cheap chocolates
She thought he was an angel, but his wings were as rigid as stalactites. His heart stowed away in a rocky box in darkest cave.
Cold threats stabbed her heart like thin needles. He wouldnt divorce her.
She switched off her phones microphone.
Her goal: fly free

now.
