Paul Lojeski was born a long time ago in Lakewood, Ohio. His poetry has appeared online and in print. He lives on Long Island.

Trigger Warning

Mad rain beat down
all day in his room,
even while the sun
blazed outside and
sky shook with blue.
While he fought to
stand, he could see
nothing but waves
of rain pounding
down. Begging it
to cease, he heard
only its roaring
onslaught, a never
abating fury. A true
damnation and fitting
end to his final day, he
thought. Drowning on
a sunny, summer day.
