i caught your scent before you appeared
my heart fluttered ever so slightly
dusted wings readying for flight
the roar of the sudden sun was deafening
i knew you’d sensed me
elaborate images assembled in my brain
a tango of the forbidden pulsing
in time with flesh
a stray breeze and there you are
i wonder who will ensnare whom
who is the butterfly
who the flower

Didn’t see your name, but fell in love with it right away. I love your writing.
This is RC deWinter. Her name appears in the bio and also just above that (below the title, next to the date). She is an AMAZING poet.
Thank you, Tony, I appreciate the kind words.
Ryan, you’re the best. I always appreciate your kindness and enthusiasm. Thank you.
