Trigger Warning

to hear a voice, see a face

in this time of silence
all my conversations are in the ether
in my head
in my dreams

how rich it would be
to see a living face
to savor words
from moving lips

but a hungry king roams the land
trading his many crowns for flesh
so we lock our doors
and wait for deliverance
